When the #WAMFest Live Saturday finishes at midnight, keep the party rolling into the early hours of Sunday at the official After Parties in some of Perth’s best venues! Pack your dancing shoes as WAM set the vibes control to the maximum with an eclectic mix of late night grooves.
As part of the 2017 WAMFest presented by Drug Aware festivities, leading WA acts, industry heavyweights and VIPs packed out the sold-out WAMAwards Party. Celebrating Western Australia’s musical depth in red carpet style, the annual prestigious dose of local love was administered at Gate One Theatre at the Claremont Showgrounds.
Coinciding with this week’s WAMFest presented by Drug Aware, and one of the most distinctive and diverse music compilations in the country, WAM’s annual Kiss My WAMi CD compiles an exemplary selection of A-grade tracks released by West Australian artists over the past year.
Last year's festival had over 14,500 music lovers cheering for WA tunes. But 2017's #WAMFest presented by Drug Aware is much bigger. Like, it's really, REALLY BIG.

As part of WAMFest presented by Drug Aware, one of Australia’s most innovative and opportunity-filled music conferences, WAMCon is excited to announce the final 30 music industry experts to join the speakers list. Friday 3 – Saturday 4 November 2017 will see the State Theatre Centre of WA transforming into the must-attend industry event of the year, with the freshly released full program now ready to plan your learnings and networking experiences.

Just when you thought WAMFest presented by Drug Aware couldn’t get any bigger, along comes the biggest ever Live Friday Showcases program… Introducing another 90+ acts joining the festivities, showcasing at 17 events, targeting particular niches, audiences or themes. These artists join the 130+ artists across 20 venues already announced for WAMFest Live Saturday, as well as the massive Regional Showcases and more!
As part of WAMFest presented by Drug Aware, we’re excited to reveal the 2017 WAMAwards nominees. All music lovers now also have their chance to decide the winners in six Public Voted Awards, including Most Popular Live Act, Most Popular Event and Most Popular Video. For the first time ever, the popular categories also expand beyond the usual 5 or so nominations, with longer lists and the ability to vote for acts not on the lists provided...
It was almost a decade ago that WAMFest (or the WAMis, as the festival was called then) last seriously spread the love out in the regions.
