The Brownley Gospel Singers are made of immediate family members; Dad Trevor, Mum Marcia, and their two younger sons; Linden and Tyrone. The family have been performing for sometime, initially singing at home began at a young age for Linden and Tyrone, as musical abilities ran through the family of five sons. Mum Marcia sang professional country music in the early 1980's, having won the Coca-Cola Talent Quest in Tamworth, claiming first prize in 1983. Furthermore, winning first place to claim Miss Country Music of WA in 1983, plus touring as a supporting act to famous guitarist and ex-member of Slim Dusty band; the late Barry Thornton, and the Ernie Bridge and his Kimberley Band. However, music has always been a huge part of the Brownley family and their everyday life. Dad Trevor plays the guitar, along with Mum Marcia playing the guitar and piano, plus all sons having picked up the talent to play instruments and sing. The family would often have a family alter before going to bed in which prior to Dad Trevor, sharing a Bible passage; the family would sing in harmony, each brother take a part and the time spent singing would last for about an hour, incorporating various hymn's and chorus's. It was in the early 2000's that the family started to share their talents with the wider community, singing and performing at various events in WA, plus interstate sharing their love for spirit-filled songs from genre's including country and western gospel music, with southern gospel accolades. Today, the Brownley Gospel Singers continue to share their ministry with family, friends and the wider audience.
