Hailing from the city of lights, indie-folk darlings Simone & Girlfunkle were born on one of North Perth's hazy, sun-drenched afternoons. With a mesmerising combination of three-part female harmonies and delightful arrangements, they produce shimmering, winsome pop-folk perfection that demands your attention.

Simone & Girlfunkle have had a busy twelve months; having just released their first single 'Fight On' from their upcoming sophomore album. With Triple J support and being awarded a spot on RTRfm's music directors 'Best New Aussie Songs' list on Tone Deaf they are excited for the next year to unfold to continue to share their new music.

"..catchy guitar chords meeting ethereal vocal harmonies, luscious synths and harmonious harmonicas. As you inevitably start to hum along, the crisp drums will make your head nod right until the last chord rings out." Brandon John, Tone Deaf

The six-piece are overwhelmed by the support gained since their debut album Hurry, Harry was hailed as “A debut that has no weak points” (X-Press Magazine). Their music has been placed numerous times on the telly including in Winners & Losers, MTV's Awkward, ABC's Giggle and Hoot and Packed to the Rafters. This adds to an impressive radio track record including numerous spins on Triple J's Home and Hosed, Radio National, RTRFM and 96fm's The Rock Show.

Great puns aside, this is really sweet folk,” Dom Alessio, Triple j

"What else to say other than this is a true delight. Effortless, winsome pop." Dave Ruby Howe, Triple J

Simone & Girlfunkle continually impress audiences with their heart-stopping vocals. Their reputation has lead them to perform at St. Kilda Festival, State of the Art, Southbound, Channel Nine's The Weekend Today Show, Nannup Music Festival, Port City Folk Festival, Cosmic Shambles Live feat. Robin Ince and Fairbridge Folk Festival where "...the girls' flawless harmonies were a force to be reckoned with" Lukas Murphy, Music.com. These performances enhance an already impressive live biography of shows alongside some of Australia’s finest: Gurrumul, Holly Throsby, Wendy Matthews and All Our Exes Live in Texas.
