Nerve Quakes were formed in 2014 and are based in Perth WA. They combine analogue synths, chorused guitars, and driving rhythm section to create a sound that could be described as dark new wave. Nerve Quakes musical content has a distinctly Australian flavour. Their songs draw inspiration from local WA history, such as the murder of Shirley Finn (Shirley) and the serial killers Eric Edgar Cooke and Martha Rendell (Night Caller) Other themes explored are the witch trials in the 1600s (Basque) and depression (1000 Years) Nerve Quakes have just released their debut full length album "A New State". Available through Televised Suicide (AU) and Imminent Destruction (UK) the album has received airplay on both local, national and international radio. The band is playing locally and will be playing in Melbourne in July 2017
