Dane Yates is composer and collaborator focusing on electro-acoustic practices and the relationship between music, dance, and film. His work focuses on the organic and the subversion of subject, resulting in commissioned works, performances throughout Australia. Dane has continually collaborated with dance and movement based works throughout Perth leading to award winning pieces in the 2016 and 2017 Perth Fringe.
In 2017 Dane was awarded a grant to undertake residency in Sydney with composer Nick Wales, collaborating with Sydney Dance Company. Dane currently holds a Bachelor of Music in composition and music technology through WAAPA (Honours), collaborating further with multidisciplinary works.
Talitha Maslin is a graduate of WAAPA and works in the independent dance sector as a performer, teacher and choreographer. She has worked with The Farm, Lucy Guerin Inc., Antony Hamilton, Opera Australia, Narelle Benjamin, Aruna Gandhi, Co3 Contemporary Dance Company, LINK Dance Company, Ausdance, Dane Yates, Ochre Contemporary Dance Company and Attakalari Centre for movement Arts in Bangalore, India. Talitha was awarded an Ian Potter Travel Scholarship and the Department of Culture and the Arts Young People in the Arts Fellowship. She has presented choreographic works at First Run, Short and Sweet Festival and Short Cuts.
