Corbelle is an electronic duo new to the local scene in Perth. Sharing a diverse musical background between them, the pair got together in 2015 after working on separate solo projects and collaborations in WA and overseas. Making a kaleidoscope of fresh electronic sounds, their emotionally-charged music bends genres, sitting somewhere between ambient, trip hop and dub. With entrancing vocals, atmospheric keys and experimental beats, Corbelle’s unique textures set the scene for the haunting beauty of Naomi’s vocals and Sebastian’s otherworldly production. Corbelle has been active on the live circuit in Perth since April 2016 when the duo first performed at White Noise Underground, a pop-up art space set in a decommissioned tunnel under St George’s Terrace. The pair was also the resident act at the Perth Concert Hall’s Winter Arts Bar throughout the 2016 City of Perth Winter Arts Festival. In March 2017, Corbelle supported Perth hip hop makers, Flighflow (Kiss My WAMi 2013), for the launch of their debut EP at Babushka. Corbelle has also played numerous open-mic gigs in Perth including Mojos, Babushka and most most recently, Bar 459. In August 2016, Corbelle independently released Heart Collision via Bandcamp, their debut single of slow-moving layered electronics.
