Yully, better known to her family and friends as Yulunda, born on November 4th, 1994 here in WA. She has always had a soft spot for music in her heart. Whether it was because of her Dad's love for great Australian bands, or her Mum who listened to soulful RNB she still doesn't know. "I remember having one of those plastic microphones that echoed and singing into until I drove my parents crazy, It just made me happy." Yully said.

It wasn't until she was about 12 that she discovered rap music, which she grew to love and understand in ways she soon discovered many others couldn’t. Eminem was and still is, to this day one of her biggest inspirations. "I used to have his songs on repeat until I memorised all the lyrics, and then would rap listening to his style, technique, delivery and emotion." says Yully.

She struggled to share her ability to sing or songwrite with anyone until she grew the confidence to finally put a cover up on Youtube and release her first single at age 16. The reactions were mixed, but her friends and family were supportive, which is all she could've asked for.

In 2010, aged 16, Yully released her first original song called "Relationships". This single landed her a producer in Florida, USA, called Jason Johnson better known as "Jason X", who with his hip-hop/rap beats, helped to mould what would become Yully's genre.

Since then Yully had covered various songs, but her first rap song "World Ends Start" that Jason X produced and featured on in 2012, landed her over 18,000 views on youtube. Jason X has produced most of her music. To find out more about Jason X check out:

In 2012 Yully worked with Telethon (Australian Children's Hospital) and raised over 600 dollars for the charity and has since said any royalties made from the song would be donated to the foundation.

2013/2014 Yully grew more confident and went ahead with entering local music competitions and doing gigs around Perth and many more places. At this time she had featured on multiple radio stations all over the world from Fiji, Spain, South America, Canada, Australia and even in New York! She is currently played on Local Unsigned radio but is hoping to do more commercial radio soon. She was interviewed by Perth's hit 92.9 commercial radio and is now on the radar in the Perth music scene.

In 2015/2016 She released her first Album called "Amorous" which has 10 tracks. She already has multiple singles on iTunes, collaborations with artists all over the world on soundcloud and is working to make new collaborations and music, whilst performing regular gigs.

Mid 2017, Yully released her 1st EP called ‘Real”. The 5 track EP has a beautiful meaning behind it about “being yourself and being real”, says Yully. Her EP launch was a success and gained her gigs supporting International rappers Futuristic and Chris Webby, performing at Southbound Music Festival, A favorite of the Comedians Vs Rappers Show, supporting Seth Sentry, and Fringe World Festival 2017 just to name a few highlights.

Since the start of 2017 she Started a #FreestyleFriday where she'd perform a new freestyle and post it on the internet every Friday (which she did for 52 consecutive weeks in 2017 and has moved into 2018 with the same hustle).
2018 has been an absolute year of moves for Yully. Playing gigs almost every weekend and releasing new singles/music videos with some of WA's best hip hop MC's. Performing her 1st overseas headline was a success in New Zealand, with a 250+ turnout which raised money for Youth Suicide prevention.

After the social media buzz around her Freestyle Friday's Yully has coined the term "Freestyle Fox" and just in August has dropped the "Freestyle Friday Mixtape" an 11 track Free stream/download.

She currently working on a new Album and plans tour with it soon.

"I just want to make music that makes a difference" - Yully.
