Mitchell started playing the guitar in 2016 at age 10 after finding a discarded guitar on a verge side pickup and persuading his parents to fork out for some new strings.
He started busking early in 2017, playing a wide variety of acoustic covers from his favourite artists such as John Butler, Tash Sultana, and The Pierce Brothers and did more than 100 performances in that first year, busking at various locations, festivals, events, open mic nights and various other gigs around Perth, the North West and regional South Western Australia.
He was accepted into the John Curtin College of the Arts specialist music program in 2018 where he currently studies music specialising in guitar.
An avid songwriter, Mitch was the youngest finalist in the 2018 Fairbridge Quest songwriting competition in 2018 and was awarded a Nanga Music Festival Scholarship. He has developed into a one man multi instrumentalist who incorporates electric and acoustic guitar, mandolin, percussion, keyboards and vocals into his performances.
