Hailing from the West Australian Coastal town of Esperance, three-piece Grand Casual have been steadily building momentum since late 2017. A wide range of influences including Sticky Fingers and The Black Keys drive their sound which varies from track to track, seamlessly incorporating elements of blues, jazz, soul.

Late 2017 and early 2018 saw a flurry of activity with Grand Casual performing a number of shows in Esperance also further afield. A tour highlight was their selection to appear on the launch of the WAM Esperance-Goldfields touring circuit. Grand Casual co headlined alongside Leonora based band The Tapping Stickz, performing four shows stretching from Esperance to Leonora. Esperance has a flourishing music scene which has allowed the lads to support some fantastic touring acts, most notable of these include Ash Grunwald, Perth based Old Blood and rocking New Zealand duo Swamp Thing.

Grand Casual launched their first single 'Soldiers' on April 1st 2018, which debuted at no.1 on the triple j unearthed rock/blues charts and number three overall. Recorded by Esperance local Jayden Walker of Aerious Productions, and mixed by Andy Lawson at Debaser Studios the single received positive reviews acting as a great first release for the trio. A short period off from live performance in preparation for summer 2018/2019 has seen the development of a number of new tracks, yet to be performed live. And those performances are lining up with Grand Casual set to perform at Settler’s Tavern in Margaret River on Saturday 27th of October, followed by The Blues at Bridgetown November 9-11. Further afield, selection to appear at The Nannup Music Festival 2019 solidifies Grand Casual as a regional West Australian act on the rise.
