Originating in the sleepy town of Harvey in Western Australia’s South West and now residing in Perth City, Big Orange busted out of their suburban share house in 2016, gracing stages and captivating audiences from the get go. Led by visionary lead singer and songwriter Daniel Davis and expanding to a 5-piece rock show on stage, the band deliver a no-frills commitment to the time- honored tower of song, reaching deep into their souls to elevate you on a wave of lilting melodies and soaring choruses.

2017 saw the release of debut EP ‘Streets’- a gleaming 5-track slice of pop craftsmanship. 4 of the 5 tracks made their way onto RTRFM’s Sound Selection. The dynamic pop-rock track ‘Famous’ was also added to Spotify’s ‘Chords + Cardigans’ playlist and FBi Radio’s New Music List, receiving extensive national airplay and resulting in several coveted festival spots and international support opportunities.

The Band’s most recent single “Goodnight Kiss Vampire Bite”, released May 2018, was once again met with local praise and peaked interest nationwide. It marked the band’s debut on National radio station Triple J and addition to Double J’s Best New Music playlist. The track was also added to RTRfm’s Sound Selection upon release and went on to crack the number #4 in the Amrap Metro Charts & #3 in the Amrap regional charts.
Not content to rest on their laurels, Big Orange have ambitions for an even bigger year ahead and with new music on the horizon, they continue to build their reputation as a band that demand to be seen.

“Originally the bedroom project for songwriter Daniel Davis, Big Orange come off like some of the best power-popsters such as The Posies combined with the rollicking feel and dry wit of Ben Folds." - Amrap

“They could be the next big thing out of WA, everyone could be talking about Big Orange” - FBi Radio

“This band knows how to write a classic pop song.” - Triple J

“They know their way into your head – the irresistible melodies of the first few songs they’ve released get stuck in your head for hours” - RTRFM

“These guys established their songwriting chops early in the piece and traversed from section to section… with layers of guitar, piano and synth swelling over time to build into epic ballads.” – Rhubarb Records
