Marrying indie folk, emo, post-rock and spoken word poetry, Treehouses’ came into their own in 2017 with the release of two hard-hitting singles COPING and ACKNOWLEDGE ME. Continuing into the new year, the band ventured over to the East Coast for a run of memorable shows, touring with the Canberra band Sleeping Dogs and launching their acclaimed single ROSES. Treehouses ventured over east again in June for a co-headline with Tassie band ISLA KA, and have eagerly begun work on an album while preparing for a national tour in support of Listener (USA). Starting out as a two-piece poetry performance outfit, Treehouses rose from underground bedroom project to an internationally recognised staple of the emo/spoken word scene. Now with a full-length album, cassette single, collaborative EP, three recent singles and a handful of national tours to their name, Treehouses have realised a full contemporary sound and are pushing forward with confidence and passion, bringing their unique sound into 2018 with no signs of slowing.
