Sometime assassins, sometime saints, Lincoln MacKinnon & The Wrecking Train combine uplifting choruses, heart- break harmonies and a barely contained menace to produce music that is as powerful as it is memorable. With tales of love, loss and chaos, Lincoln’s celebrated blend of rock and alt-country will have you shaking along to his wild and unruly swagger.
Originally from Melbourne, where Lincoln fronted renowned rock bands The Legs and Dead River Deeps, Lincoln has now embraced the port town of Fremantle as his new home, and formed his ultimate rock band, The Wrecking Train. Before moving to Fremantle, Lincoln spent three years in the remote central Australian town of Tennant Creek (NT). Rich in stories of love, survival, friendship and loss, this red-desert town inspired a spree of songwriting and formed the inspiration for Lincoln’s second studio album, ‘Sparks Will Fly’.
Lincoln’s live performances have been generating high levels of enthusiasm amongst his expanding and devoted fan base. On stage, he skips between the shadows and the light, alternately invoking the angels of mercy and of judgment to mesmerise and enthral.
So kiss your lonely days goodbye, it’s time to knock over some beer glasses as Lincoln MacKinnon and The Wrecking Train bring their savage glee to the stage, to the world.
